Contributing to Deaf Sports
At AX-ON, we leverage the real-time subtitling expertise we have acquired from linear broadcasting and apply it to deaf sports for deaf athletes. In 2023, we handled the live broadcasts of the World Games of Deaf Athletics. The broadcasting, subtitling, and event coordination departments cooperate to provide live commentary, subtitles on the vision, and sign language for in-stadium announcements, all of which are indispensable in conveying deaf sports. We will continue to contribute to deaf sports by launching sign language study groups in the company to foster awareness that will lead to new businesses in the deaf and hard of hearing market, including participation in the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, the first of its kind to be held in Japan.
In addition, we established the Universal Design Business Study Project, which aims to develop businesses by applying our skills in subtitling, video production, and archiving to all entertainment markets, utilizing our expertise from deaf sports broadcasts. We will work on businesses that leverage AX-ON's unique strengths in a wide variety of sports.

AX-ON has been granted the highest "Eruboshi” certification of three stars on November 13, 2023 as a company with excellent efforts to promote the success of women in the workplace, promoted by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.
It also launched the EVE Project with the aim of becoming a company that grows and evolves for the benefit of all employees. Measures are in place to promote health and wellbeing so that everyone can fully unleash their individual talents in every situation.

Joining Forces with the Group to Create a Workplace that Enables a Healthy and Long-lasting Career
In cooperation with TIPNESS, a Nippon TV Group company, we are implementing a variety of health measures for employees under the theme of "building a healthy body for a long and healthy working life.” In addition to developing original pre-work exercises under the supervision of TIPNESS to help staff prevent injuries, the group is working together to create a healthy and creative workplace through measures such as body composition measurements and exercise classes.
What’s more, in October 2023, we revised our employment regulations and childcare/nursing care leave regulations with the aim of improving the work environment for our employees. We are supporting the child-rearing generation by incorporating measures inspired by the voices of our employees, more than 77% of whom are women, such as extending the period of shortened working hours for childcare until the child enters the fourth grade of elementary school and establishing new unpaid leave with no restrictions on its use.

Work Experience Support—From Planning to Selling Products
Nippon TV Service has been supporting the work experience of people with disabilities at the Nitteleya booth at the Bancho SJE (Sustainable Job Experience) Marché* since January 2024. Through a joint project with the SJE Marché Executive Committee, we are further advancing our support by offering participants the opportunity to actually create products as their work.
Participants plan what kind of products they would like to develop under the theme of one of Nippon TV’s characters, Nijimo, and select the appropriate merchandise from several designs. The project took about six months from planning and production, including the creation of POP advertising for sales, to the actual sale of the finished products at the marché.
We will continue to create an environment in which people from all walks of life can play an active role by making the most of our unique expertise in product production and sales.
*SJE Marché activities provide work experience to people with intellectual disabilities through the marché, as well as create an environment for them to participate together with the local residents. Nippon TV supports these activities that are held at the Bancho Forest plaza (Nibancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), the site of Nippon TV's former headquarters.
TIPNESS

OPEN TIPNESS: Fitness for Everyone
Aiming of supporting the health and wellness of local residents, we launched OPEN TIPNESS, in which each gym branch plans and implements community-based initiatives, such as health events and providing opportunities for non-members to use the facilities.
This initiative, which began as a result of employee feedback amid the reevaluation of how fitness clubs ought to be during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been held 162 times by branches nationwide since its launch in May 2023.
Activities take advantage of the unique characteristics of each gym and are tailored to each community, such as family-friendly walking events, classes for children in familiar commercial facilities, lessons and lectures by invited nationally-acclaimed swimmers, and plogging activities to beautify the cities where TIPNESS gyms are located.
